Failure Free Reading (FFR) utilizes a multi-sensory and multi-exposure methodology, with age appropriate content in comprehensible story progression and controls for reading road-blocks such as figurative speech, idiomatic expression, and unfamiliar pronouns. FFR has over 2 million hours of instruction with students in Intervention, Special Education, English Learner, and At-Risk programs. FFR has been published in 9 national and international studies, is listed on the National Center on Intensive Intervention, and is approved as a Model Program by the National Dropout Prevention Center/Network.

  • For over 30 years, Dr. Joe has been helping school districts across the nation turn their non readers into readers - quickly, easily and within budget. Training teachers, parents and volunteers in accelerating the vocabulary, comprehension, expressive fluency and confidence of chronically failing students of all ages is his unique expertise.
  • Dr. Joe has over a dozen published, peer-reviewed, research articles in national and international journals including brain impact research published by brain imaging researchers at The Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Carnegie-Mellon University.
